Visit Anchorage calls Girdwood a ski resort community within the Municipality of Anchorage and an all-season destination. It has Alyeska Resort, the Alyeska Tramway, the Roundhouse at Alyeska Museum and Crow Creek Mine, where visitors can pan for gold.
